- I'm a quilter, live in the country and love my "job". I do quilting for others at home, go to work when I want to, dress code is very casual and most of the time there is a dog or a cat in the vacinity. I have three grown (??) kids and 5 grandkids. My oldest g'son will be entering the University of Oklahoma this fall. My nickname for him when he was really small was "Boomer". I just received a note from him signed "Boomer Sooner"........LOL Life is good and everyone is healthy. Well, the Boomer Sooner has a pacemaker but that fixed the problem so he's ok also. I enjoy my quilting family, aka Scattered Piecers. We laugh, we support, we share and I guess you could say that we have a flemingo as our "group bird". I know they show up in the strangest ways but boy has it been fun. Rain...thanks for getting us tuned in to doing these blogs. Ya just gotta love the internet as that is how I met most of my quilting family.
