Can it really be? I just put everything away from last year, someone is messing with the calendar. I have pulled out all of my fall and Halloween quilts. Shame on me, I have more than I know what to do with so when I went to the quilt show in San Antonio last week I was restricted from buying any Halloween fabric/pattern, etc. Sure..........LOL My friend bought a very cute Jack-o-Lantern pattern so maybe she will let me borrow it. That way I didn't "purchase". I do have my ways.
Football season is a few weeks old (something to watch on TV). My Cowboys are looking pretty good but I'm afraid Texas will have some problems in the Big 12. I have a grandson at OU so I'm sure there will be some serious family wagering going on for that game. The Sooners look strong.
With football season here, basketball can't be far behind. I love football but a good NCAA rival game in basketball can't be beat. Texas keeps loosing athletes to the NBA but hope for a strong season.
I have managed to sew on some projects in the past few weeks, I've tried not to start new projects but I just can't help myself. I have a few ideas for Christmas gifts that I need to make so guess they will be started in the next few weeks. I'm very thankful that everyone in my family loves to get quilts and they use them.
Next week I'm off to Corpus with a dear friend to attend a Toby Keith concert. I do enjoy his music, especially those he wrote after 9/11. Then the same dear friend (this is Sherry) and I are off to Vegas for Jimmy Buffett. Guess we will be dealing with the three ring circus involving OJ that will be there at the same time.
Now for some cooler weather and all would be just fine.
