This quilt is called "Cottage Squares" , I started it in January and this weekend I decided to pull out some of my "works in progress". This morning I got the top all assembled and found suitable fabric for a backing. So, the game was on. Could I actually finish a top and quilt it all in the same day??? I did..........this is not how it usually happens in my world. Most of my tops (and there are a lot of them) get put into a container with the note "to be quilted".
I am very pleased with the quilt. The pattern is "Cottage Squares" and was in the Nov/Dec '06 issue of Fons and Porter magazine. The fabric is called "Sunflowers of Provonce". I left off the last row because of the colors placement of my blocks, think I'll use them for a pillow to go with the quilt.
